TK-8 Career Exploration
Shearer is a TK-8 Career Exploration Magnet School that has a program focused on learning about various career possibilities and pathways. Through our career exploration theme students make connections across academic disciplines and are able to build academic skills while learning about themselves and the world around them.
Our unique program gives students a purpose for learning and developing their literacy skills. The power of our program is that from transitional kindergarten all the way up to 8th grade, students are learning about various careers, as well as the education and skills that are necessary in those career pathways. By the time they leave our campus, students will have an idea of what is possible and what they need in order to achieve their dreams.
